Default instrument cluster or ECM?

Having weird issues with my 2003 Silverado. When I open the driver door, there are weird lines on the instrument cluster screen and the lights on the dash are very dim and sometimes only visible at night. Need help figuring out what it is. Not trying to spend money I dont have

Most likely it’s the cluster - they are known for having problems.

Repair services are available - the truck will start and drive without the cluster installed if it’s your DD.

most of these clusters from that generation had an extended 10 warranty they were so bad.
