Default Leak between tranny and engine

I’ve had rear main changed 2x. After a couple of months, I’ll see a puddle of oil under vehicle. It’s been put up on lift, tranny separated from engine and that seems to be the only place the oil comes from.

these photos are from last(vehicle parked down hill) This morning parked in garage, I back out of garage and find a smaller but yet a puddle on cardboard.

I’m not naive, but can 2 rear main seal be that jacked or is something else happening???

Does the old seal show any damage when removed? Does the surface the seal rides on have any marks on it that could damage the new seal?

I’ve not done the work, and the mechanic has not made any indication that there is damage. He had the tool to insert main seal with the sleeve, etc.

I’m looking! I was hoping to get an idea of which direction to go. Last night I parked at a friends house (flat driveway) after about 5 minutes, I looked under vehicle and noticed a puddle about the size of a salad plate, what looked to be a flow! Asked my friend if he had cat litter,(he did) after a hour (give or take a few minutes) the flow had stopped. Leaving approximately a puddle 3’x 10”! So vehicle not very hot(driven 8 miles), parked, mostly flat driveway and dumped oil! wtfrig!

Does your mechanic warranty his work? Did he explain what is happening?

That is why the rear main seal has been replaced twice. The mechanic isn’t a diesel mechanic, hence my need for assistance in seeking what may be causing the oil dump. I’ve heard that the oil could be running down a journalist and leaking.
I can’t afford to just have someone do exploratory mechanics!

If it is good for a couple of months after the seal is changed, then there is something damaging the seal.
