Need some help and or education
Thnx.
I know about the button for trip reset. The deal I'm asking about sticks up out of the top surface in the center of the dash. Looks like a sensor of some sort.
Fixing the headliner is going to be trial and error, probably more error on my part. Gravity is definitely going to be against me lol. Thanks for your reply.

Hey there, nowhereman, Welcome to the Chevrolet Forums.
I would like to take a second, to thank everybody, for their wonderful suggestions, in helping all of our new members.
I can also recommend Ozone Cleaning, I have a friend in the business, and I believe this may help you, a lot.
Also, very carefully and thoroughly clean all your interior window surfaces, to remove cigarette smoke buildup. Using just Ammonia Cleaner, like "Windex", and be sure to use newspaper, to dry the windows. You will have cleaner windows, overall, and
it will help remove the source of the stink. I know how you feel, I dislike that cigarette smell, also.

I would say you can get real writing content information which is good for getting unique plagrism free content. Most of the students want to bypass turnitin which is good option for advance writing content to earn good grades at college level.
Many of these Silverados from that era have a "cabin air filter" which is located under the dash. If you have the filter, in your cabin vent system, be sure to change that filter. Otherwise you are recirculating that smell, which is trapped in the filter, every time you run the fan.
As to anomalous electrical quirks, bear in mind your vehicle is getting older. Try replacing your battery negative cable, and your engine to body ground strap. Many times, as these ground cables go bad, with a low voltage system, (12V) they generate minor electrical "gremlins". You will find keeping new primary wiring will eliminate many of these bothersome issues at the source, and cable maintenance is a dimes-to -dollars proposition.

I drive an 04 Silverado 5.3L. I just started having a message pop up to tighten fuel cap but no check engine light on. I’ve checked it and put it on again and it still does it every time I drive it. Had this message pop up before but with the check engine light on solenoid was bad replaced it and it went away. That was about 6 months ago. I think the seal on the cap may be damaged but I’m not sure if it could be anything bigger.
