Rear Differential Trying to Lock Up 58,000 miles
2000 Silverado 2500 4x4 373 rearend. Only 58,000 miles. Fluid changed at 42,000. Used GM recommended fluid. No abuse or too heavy pulling. Have not pulled the cover yet. Hard to believe it is failing at this milage. Anybody else have this problem or any ideas about the problem.
Welcome to Chevy Arnie.
Please decribe the details of what your truck is doing. Lots of help available here when we get a detailed story. I just had a front wheel hub assembly fail on our '20 Tahoe under 50k miles. I agree that's low miles for a diff failure.

Your description does not provide enough info to offer any suggestion.
At this time we don't know if it gear related. brake application related Or anything else.
So as you can see we need to be as specific with the description as possible Thanks.

This is the quote I was wondering about. I understand your notes. Thanks
