Default Shorter belt

LQ4 engine.

Has anybody tried this when swapping to an electric water pump?

Nope. And I would not want to have an electrical water pump in the first place. Just one more device hooked up to the ECM.

Nothing wrong with an EWP, I have one on my 600HP big block Monte. And it hooks to the battery via a relay controlled by key on, not the PCM.

SO, has anybody tried this?

only issue is, in a few years the brushes wear out. That is my experience with intercooler water pumps If its for a drag racer i get it but not for me in a daily...1-2hp loss i'm ok with.
