Default Transfer case vibrations

2006 Silverado WT 2500 HD 125k miles.
Shift lever for the 4x4 activation vibrates at 35mph. Also, unable to shift to 4 low or neutral.
Dealer has done work to transfer case in the recent past (multiple leakes/seals replaced) but states the vibration is coming from a bad sensor, wanting to charge me $330. Is this legit?
Im assuming they do not want to do the work for free admitting they messed up. I just do not have any proof to argue my point.
In order for the seals to be replaced (August 2019/June 2020), drive shaft needed to be removed.

Sounds like an out of balance drive shaft..

That’s a complete grade A garbage diagnosis. Faulty sensors can cause hard shifts and bucking/jerking, but not vibrations, and since it’s a manual shift t-case, that rules out an encoder motor issue.

The driveshaft could be out of balance but that wouldn’t prevent shifting.

Go to another shop and get a second opinion - don’t tell them you had a dealer work on it - just see what they say. If they diagnose a problem internal to the t-case, take it back to the dealer in writing.

No. I was sitting in my driveway not moving. That was just issue #3.
I felt the 'sensor' excuse was BS from the get-go. I just am searching for info.
