About a month ago my 2003 1500 automatic would not shift into park unless you slammed shifter hard. I thought it was the linkage cable. I replaced both sections and have them adjusted as tightly as possible at the split between the two sections. The cable is still 1/8 inch too short and won't shift into park. It only comes back to reverse. What else could I adjust to make up that 1/8 - 1/4 inch needed in the cable to find park? What have I missed?
