Default 02 sensor trouble

Hi guys! I'm desperate for some answers. I have a 2008 Silverado. 5.3 with 115,000 on it. I ve had it for a couple years with no problems at all. I was driving it the other night and all of a sudden it started running like crap and missing and bucking ect. It throws a code for bank 1 #1 no activity and bank 1 #2 low voltage. I replaced #1 and it didn't seem to help much. But after a few miles it seems to clear up. I clear the codes and let it cool off. Then try again. Runs terrible for a few miles. Throws the codes again. Then seems to clear up. It will idle good for a 10 seconds or so then it starts missing really bad. I tried unplugging the battery for a while to reset the computer. Didn't help. Any help would be appreciated!

No other codes at all? Did you use OEM parts? If you have access to a scantool you need to see what/if the fuel trims and 02 sensors are reading. A lot of times 02 codes are set as a result of another issue not always just from the sensors. If its missing on startup or at all you need to figure out the misfire before you go after the 02 sensors.

Thats the fun part of working on newer vehicles. Codes arent always an indicator of the fault, just that a fault exists.

No it doesnt. If you made "repairs" for every code that popped up you would be out a lot of $$ and still not have a good running vehicle.

Sometimes the code is a precise indicator for a failed part.

OK, now I know to re-think your commentary.
