Default 2012 2500 Possible transmission problems

I recently bought a 2012 Silverado 2500, gas 6.0L with 6 speed trans. I first noticed it when running 55-60 mph it felt like it would shutter momentarily. This morning on the way to work when I stopped at 2 different stop lights and started off it didn't move at first. After the rpm's started coming up it took off, felt like it was not in gear and all of a sudden it went into gear. Noticed on the way home it didn't shift as smooth as it had. I checked the fluid and it is full but it wasn't the normal red color that I am use to. It is a lighter color, it calls for Dextron VI. Any ideas, I am going to have the fluid and filter changed to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any ideas

Yeah I had to have a new transmission, not sure what the issue with it was but the Chevy dealer diagnosed it as needing to be replaced. And since I had just bought the truck we split the cost. So they ordered a new one and installed and it has been great every since.
