I purchased a 2012 chevy silverado 1500 WT that has electric locks and windows. It didn't come with a remote fob so I'm not sure if I can buy one and get it programmed to at least unlock my vehicle with it?
I printed a build sheet from my VIN and the only code related to that is XL7 frequencies rating 315 MHZ long distance. I've read about remote start ready and remote start enabled codes and it does NOT have
either of those codes. Does the XL7 code mean I can use a Remote FOB to lock/unlock my truck.
