Default 4.8L Frost Plug / Block heater location

Does anyone know where the frost plug is located to install a block heater? There are no helpful videos that I have found, and it is not in the same place as the 5.3L
Help!

Assuming that I’m looking for the same type of plug (hex m17) ? This would be behind the exhaust if I’m seeing the image and arrow correctly, yes?

arrow points to the front, so you're looking at the bottom drivers side, rear (the end by the firewall) The cylindrical object right below is the oil filter.

Are we talking about those round silver pieces, I’m assuming the larger one..? And is that a cover for the plug, or is it the actual plug itself?

way off. that's your transmission.
I can see your black oil filter in the background there. You need to look above it. It's not going to be easy to get to.
I wouldn't be surprised if you had to gut out half your engine bay, or take the engine out to access the port.

On the chance I don’t do it myself…..any idea on what it costs to install one?

No idea. You have to ask your mechanic. However you can get heat pads that you stick on to the oil pan. That might help to get things warmed up a little faster.
