Angry Battery keeps dying while turned off

I just bought an 09 Silverado from my mom who has never had this issue but when I got it the battery kept dying overnight and I'd have to jump it every time I wanted to drive. Nothing plugged into the cigarette lighters, no lights on, nothing. Eventually the battery wouldn't even jump so I replaced the battery. All was good for about 3 weeks and a couple days ago I did end up leaving the dash cam plugged in for about 3 days but truck started up fine and I drove it for about 30 minutes, came back and unplugged everything again. Went out today (2 days later) and battery is dead again. Multimeter reads 5.1 volts on the battery. Wtf is going on?

what the voltage when it's running?
try having your alternator load tested at the parts store. It's free.

I'll jump it next time. On the dash the voltage reads about 14 when it's running but I haven't tested with a multimeter.

Use your meter to test current draw at the battery after the truck has been off a few minutes, then start pulling fuses to try to isolate the draw. Good luck.

Default Parasitic draw radio

Hi all, I found that fuse 42 under engine (RDO) was causing about 1.9 amps battery draw while the vehicle was off. I pulled the fuse and have been living without the radio or blinker clicking but how do I even go about determining where the issue is?

I believe the TCICM (also known as 'Onstar' module) under the dash is also on that fuse.
If the problem exists in the stereo then you may just have to replace it.
Instead of pulling the fuse try unplugging each of these units

You can verify component locations and wiring schematics on charm.li

Appreciate you hopping on each time to guide me. To unplug the components am I literally unplugging them from the back of the stereo? So pulling that out and going one by one?
