A/C not working
Hello, so my ac quit working in my 2007 1500 a few months back out if no where and im finally getting around to fixing it sense summer is approaching here in Florida, The clutch for the compressor wasnt engaging but I replaced the low pressure switch for the ac and then I made sure the freon was full and there is no leaks and it’s holding Freon from what I can tell . The compressor finally started working after that but now I still only have hot air coming out. if the temp control is all the way turned down and recur is on it is ambient air temp at best but if I turn it up a couple clicks towards hot it immediately turns super hot. My next guess is to change the temp control blend valve in the center at the bottom of the console because all the vents work and I can switch between defrost, feet and front vents without a problem. I know there is three different ones, one for the drivers side, one for the passenger side and one for the temp control. I feel like it’s not calibrated/stuck and it is only allowing hot air due to the position it’s at. I’m not sure what else to do but I plan on taking it out and trying to manually switch it to cold before I buy a new one but figured I’d come in here to ask for any advice if anyone has dealt with this before. Anything will help and thank yal! Also I’ve never worked on the ac system before but it seems fairly simple just need some help.

if the compressor is turning on... feel the high and low side lines in the engine compartment....low pressure lines are bigger diameter. the low side should feel cold...the high side should feel hot. if you aren't getting that the system most likely isn't developing pressure. Ultimately, you need high and low pressure readings as OCH posted.
