LM7 F.I. resistance values
I am troubleshooting a cylinder misfire issue on my 2007 Silverado Classic with the 5.3L Flex Fuel engine.
I am getting an intermittent miss at speed and my OBDII scanner shows code P0300 (cylinder misfire). Being a cheap scanner, all it does is show me this code and not which specific cylinder.
So with 175,000 miles, I changed the plugs (first plug change was @ 100,000 miles), and the original spark plug wires. And I have the same intermittent miss.
So I decided to check the fuel injector resistance as a possible first check on the fuel system. All injectors show 11.7, 11.8 ohms except cylinder 5, which shows 12.0 ohms. This doesn't seem like much but wanted to ask here if that could be a possible cause of my issue.
Fuel mileage seems fine 15-19mpg
Idle seems very smooth and consistent
Acceleration/power seems as good as new
Thanks very much,
Rick
