I have a 2008 sierra 1500 with the manual shift transfer case with RPO code NQG,the RPO code list I found online does not have
NQG on the list and I need to buy some parts.Can anybody tell me what transfer case I have?

Hello. The NQG is a 1226XHD but is normally found on a 2500HD or a 3500.

Is your truck a 1500 HD? There were some built.

 

Information was hard to find but the 1500 uses the MP1222 transfer case the 2500 uses the MP1225 and the 3500 uses the MP1226
transfer case but they all use the RPO code NQG.The differences are in the number of splines on the shafts and the width of the chains.Some good information here.

The NQG transfer case is available in 3 variations, depending on the engine and transmission configurations. The variations allow the transfer case to handle different torque loads. When servicing the transfer case it is important to understand which variation is being serviced because of the difference in parts.
