Default New here - problems with transmission and "maybe" p0300

New here. Thanks for having me. I am having a weird issue with my 2009 5.3 Silverado. Twice in the past I have dealt with AFM lifter failures in different AFM cylinders each time. Each time was $2000 or so. I bought an extended warranty when I bought it used and first time was covered, second was not. After the first time, tranny was shifting strange afterward so I took it into chevy dealership. They replaced it with a reman one and life was great. After second lifter failure was fixed, I bought a Range Tech AFM delete module and it's been okay since (except power has felt "weird" and low). Warranty on dealer installed tranny about to run out and now transmission is acting strange. Randomly truck will act like it's in neutral when it's in drive, sometime at start up and sometimes after driving and then stopping, acts like it's been shifted into neutral. Then randomly goes back to normal. Wife driving it the other day said she messed with air fan speed button and she felt it go into gear and continued. We moved to another state, I called original dealer and they said in an email that warranty was 3 years, 100,000 miles. Haven't gone 100,000 miles and 3 yrs was up in 4 days. Took it to dealership, removed afm module so they didn't say anything to back out of warranty. They called and said transmission is fine but misfire problem, p0300. I asked how is that related to transmission shifting problem and they said it's on the same circuit. Is this possible? I just have a feeling I'm about to lose a couple thousand again.

No. It's gobbledegook.
Sounds like they're trying to get out of a warranty repair.

Call Chevrolet customer service or try a different dealership.
