Oil leak...How to pinpoint source?

Oil leak...How to pinpoint source?
Hi all
My truck started leaking oil
I am trying to find out the source and it is very messy under there at this moment
I suspected the main seal gasket but there is a port that you can open to check and it appears dry in there while outside there is an oil mess
I looked up and I think it could be the oil pan gasket but it is hard to say for sure
The top of the engine looks dry no oil leaks there...
Can you help me to find out other spots I should check and how to pinpoint the leak?
I will post a few pictures that will probably help but just wanted to get the thread started
