Oil pressure sensor screen
I have a 2009 3500hd. The check engine light is going on with a code that is for the oil pressure sensor. I replaced the sensor and it didn’t fix the issue. Someone told me that there is a screen underneath the sensor. It’s a pain to get back there but I’ve tried everything reaching down there and there doesn’t seem to be any screen at all. The pick goes in maybe 3-4” and it doesn’t feel like I’m hitting anything. I used the screw method and it feels like I’m hitting rubber and when I twist it it won’t catch on. Does this model not have a screen? If it doesn’t should I put one. I think the main issue is I cannot get a good angle to see in there I used a flashlight and a mirror

I have been having oil pressure problems on my 2007 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0 Liter 4x4 also. Bought the pressure sensor kit with filter and couldnt get the filter out from underneath either. I bought a Klein Borescope that attaches to my Android phone and was able to look down there to see if there was even a filter in there under the oil pressure sensor. No filter. Some of the forums Ive read about this issue say that some engines didnt use a filter, specifically the 6.0, so I didnt install a new one either. Installed the new sensor and it seems like the pressure isnt where it should be when I first started up the truck, but I drove it to the store and the pressure was better on the return trip home. Highly recommend the Klein borescope. $40 on Amazon.
Im thinking my pressure issues might be related to poor oil filtration at the filter or an oil pump issue. Still working on it. Would appreciate any suggestions.
