I see in my manual with my 5.3L V8 (extended cab normal bed 4-wheel drive) that IF I have the part K5L (Cooling package) my trailer weight jumps from 6,100 lbs to 6,800!(with a 3.08 Axle ratio) and up to 9,600 lbs (with a 3.42 Axle ratio). A picture of the parts identification label in my glove box clearly lists “K5L”. Does that mean that my truck IS equipped with that transmission and oil cooler?

 

Well if you do it will be mounted in front of your AC condenser.
