Default Question-Newbie here

I just purchased a 08 Silverado 2500 extended cab 2wd long bed. I’m trying to figure out exactly what I have. I googled the vin #, it says it’s a 2500 HD LT truck. But…it doesn’t have “HD” beside the 2500 on the door emblems and it has manual door locks and windows. I thought the “LT” model had power door locks and power windows. And the “WT” had no power locks and windows. Do I have a work truck model and just a 2500 and not a HD? I’m confused.

Maybe it is a LT, but the original owner custom ordered it with manual windows and locks?

I've got a 2006 work truck (WT) and it has vinyl floors, no carpet, and manual windows and locks. Most of the WT's have black bumpers and any body trim is black as well, and not painted like on the LT.

Take a picture of the RPO codes on the sticker inside the glovebox, and type them into an RPO decoder, like the one here, and it may tell you more about the equipment it came with, and whether it has the heavy duty suspension or not: https://decoderpo.com/

This is what I found from the RPO codes:

It also has vinyl floor, leather seats, chrome bumpers, grill and emblems.

That 1WT option, along with the vinyl flooring and manual locks/windows tells the story. It is the WT (Work Truck) edition, but with upgraded seats. I have the same code. I think you could get the WT with leather. Mine has cloth, with a nice rip in the drivers seat. You do have the heavier suspension. Those RPO codes decode for multiple types of vehicles, but for a truck, I think the Z85 is the heavy duty suspension. My bumpers are chrome with black trim.

The other codes you want to look at are the Gxx codes. Those will tell you your rear axle type and ratio, which affect towing capacity. For example, my 2006 Silverado 1500 WT has GU5 (3.23 ratio) and G80 (automatic locking rear diff).
