Default Release Fuel Line From Tank

Hey everyone,

I have a new to me 2010 Silverado Extended Cab LT with the 5.3 and auto.

Problem, the main fuel line coming off the fuel tank has a leak. What I have done so far....... used my cherry picker to lift the bed off the truck and disconnected both electrical connections at the top of the fuel tank along with the two return lines. The problem being the main fuel line was so corroded that it broke off as I was attempting to disconnect the line. Now I have the main gas line connection with about an inch of the original connecting pipe (that goes to the fuel tank) sticking out of it. I have sprayed it with Blaster and attempted to compress the inner prongs using a Quick Disconnect tool to no avail! The tool only goes in so far and the line won't release. Any suggestions?

push the connector in....blow out all the dirt with compressed air...then spray with penetrating fluid, then try to get it apart. It can be tough.

u can get new plastic fittings...and plastic to plastic unions to join it back up

try also pressing the tool towards the fuel line and pushing the metal line into the plastic hose till you feel it click, then pull the metal line out
