2014 Silverado AC Problems Already?
45,000 miles, and no AC , first chevy truck Ive ever got and will be the last, if Gm gave a crap they should fix this, I live in the North East,
only use AC 3 to 4 months max, you buy on the premise that these trucks are the most reliable on the rd, not a happy camper right now.

I am having the exact same problem. The dealership just replaced the hose and bracket to the compressor. That didn't fix the problem. They also had to replace the compressor as well for another $700. The truck only has 67,000 miles on it and even isn't three years old. I have owned Chevrolet vehicles my whole life and my family has even worked for GM. This is ridiculous that due to a design flaw I'm stuck fixing the vehicle this soon in the life of the truck.
Then they Jack up the price of the part because they know its a money maker, produce ****ty part, sell ****ty part, ****ty parts fail
now sell more ****ty parts for more money cause there are not enough ****ty parts to go around, Mo Money for Chevy.

I bought a brand new 2014 Chevy Silverado and have had nothing but issues with it. The AC is not the only problem with those trucks so many I'm tired of typing them. My AC went out at 50,000 miles and of course it's not covered under warranty or there's no recall for their faulty product. The best advice I can offer anybody is to sell your Silverado and by a different brand. I have been Chevy my hole life up until now! Chevy quality control and customer service is a joke!

Don't worry, some hot air bag from this website will reach out to you and act like they care, they will first ask for your VIN, so they can look into it for you. They will tell you that your truck has other recalls, but nothing for the A/C System. Then they will tell you, "would you like us to contact a dealer for you reguarding the air conditioning system?" Then when you go to the dealer they will tell you how much to fix it without even looking at it. But Chevrolet will not offer to pay for that repair. It is so very unfortunate that this has happened. The worst part is how relatively new these vehicles are in model years. No other vehicle in my 30 years of experience has an Air Conditioning unit failed on such a late modle vehicle. I can only ride around with all 4 Windows down and hope I can get up to 25MPH to cool my sweating body. I often sit in stand still Traffic around the DC Beltway afternoons in the summer. I make a conscience effort to avoid a heat injury. But, Chevrolet should be concerned about a Lawsuit if someone suffers a heat injury while driving a Chevrolet vehicle in a heatwave and it causes an accident an accident with injuries. All preventable by Chevrolet. Even with the Windows down it gets dangerously hot sitting still in traffic, something that's out of the drivers control. Fix our Air Conditioning Chevrolet, before someone gets injured or even worse...ends up dead.

i feel for ya dude but a/c will never be considered a safety issue...remember a time when cars didn't have a/c...we opened the window and yeah, it was hot.
Customer service can't do anything that a dealership could. If the manufacturer won't cover it...there is nothing the dealership can do.
Your only hope it to repair it yourself, save the receipts for reimbursement if gm issues a goodwill or customer satisfaction repair. Otherwise, it could be a long wait.

I remember those days very well.
So, now its called climate acclimating. Our bodies without AC would adjust to our surroundings, but with AC everywhere a body does not adjust and makes it more susceptible to heat injury. A lawsuit will be coming to Chevrolet if they don't fix these AC's. It's just a matter of time.
You are correct, I will get mine repaired and hope something happens for repayment.
You know what I won't be doing?
I won't be Buying another Chevrolet product ever again.

not buying a chev...so be it.

A/C is mandated by Federal Law for Section 8 housing. If you have a voucher you have A/C in your residence. I can't rent a unit that does not have working A/C. Again, a person on welfare gets free A/C sitting at home. I go to work everyday sweating in traffic sitting in my $50,000.00 Piece of Chevrolet Crap. Tech2 A/C is mandatory by law for anyone collecting a welfare check. That's why you see so many Shakers on your way home from work. If you see a box fan in the window of your neighbor's trailer then there is still hope for them. Next time you see them, say Thank You for going to work and paying taxes. Chevrolet Silverado a BIG POS.
