I want to install aftermarket tow mirrors on my 2018 Silverado Lt. I have been told by a installer and also MY Shevy Dealer says no because the passenger mirror has a ambient temp sensor that would cause a check engine light to come on if I replace the mirrors on it now, and no known fix at this point. Not even flashing after install????? Anyone know something that others don't know??? THANKS

 

Mine’s older, an 06. Dealer told me in 2012 I couldn’t install after-market mirrors, and the GM camping mirrors were $1,000/pair including required programming. I bought $250/pair, no programming, no problems. Still using 200,000 miles later.
