Default Changed battery now my truck is christine! Help please

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. I changed the battery today after truck has sat for a few weeks. When I hooked up the battery the horn, flasher, and high beams came on. I disconnected the horn turn the ignition on and the wipers came on and washer fluid started spraying. I can’t turn any of it off. Also the key fob will not lock or unlock the doors. The truck will start and run. Any ideas?

The answer is in a 2018 post.:

" I then disconnected battery for 24 hours and when I reconnected the battery everything was back to normal."

Disconnecting the battery for a long time let's the all the capacitors in various controllers bleed down. That way, any battery backed RAM will be reset to zero.

You probably don't have to unhook it for 24 hours but I would let it stay disconnected for at least an hour. If one hour doesn't work then repeat and wait longer.
