Just Purchased
I just bought a used 2018 Silverado LT 4x4. 31,000 miles. Yesterday. The previous owner had an extended warranty. I didn’t have a clue if it would transfer to me. Well yesterday finally found out it would while sitting in credit union signing papers. My wife called the dealership he bought it from and they said he can transfer to me for $50.00 fee. Or they will give him $1200.00 back. I’m just wondering is that how this works. Is this even worth worrying about? I think the guy is a good guy I bought it from. He just said he will call when he gets done working today and figure everything out. He said he wanted to do the right thing. I’m not sure what is the right thing. Me offer him 600? Just be happy and not get the warranty. Any advice is appreciated.

It all depends on what the warranty entails. Find out the details, decide what it's worth to you, and make him an offer. Make sure you read the fine print.
Myself being mechanically inclined, I would probably pass on it.
