Looking to replace my rear shocks on a 2014 silverado. Any suggestions? do not much towing or off-roading

 

My 14 Sierra came with fox coil overs up front and shocks on the rear. I've been happy with them. Rides nice, and I've towed the daughters jeep with it, and while it did squat it pretty good, it still towed well. As I understand it fox shocks will lower your tow weight, but I'm not sure by how much.

Keep in mind mine has the puff package, z-71 and all but it's the SLT with 3.08 gears and the lower of the tow ratings beings crew cab and all. Does have the trailering package with trailer brakes but I want to say they want it to tap out at about 6600#

 

I found that Monroe shocks do just as good a job as the expensive name shocks and are much more reasonably priced.

 

how did they behave after a few months?
did you do any towing or heavy loads carrying?

 

Did not do any towing. They stayed good until I sold the truck many years later.
