Hello, I brought my truck into the shop to wash it. And as I went to leave, I pressed the button to start......the truck just turned over for about 10 seconds but would not start. I did not spray under the hood or in the fuel port. Just a simple wash. I tried disconnecting the battery to see if I could reboot, still the same result. The truck has 1300 miles on it, and this has never happened to me before. It almost seems like I tripped some kind of safety mechanism. Any advise would be appreciated.

 

My advice is warranty, get the dealer involved.

 

Oh I will, unfortunately it is Saturday afternoon with no help until Monday, then I will have to line up a tow, catch a ride to the dealer....I think you see where I am going.

We have exactly the same thing..could you tell me if you found a solution? Ours did the crank but no start at 596 miles and again at about 900..it sits at the dealership right now

 

I took my truck in for its first oil change. Drove it about 100 miles afterwards and parked it. Next day, it would crank but not start. I unhooked the negative terminal on the battery for 15 minutes, put it back on, and it started right up.

 

My 2020 Silverado cranks will not start. got it towed to dealership and it crank right up. it has less than 3000 miles on it. this is the 2nd time its been back to the dealership. and they cant find anything wrong.

 

Did they ever find the problem?

 

I’m experiencing the same thing. This is my second time taking it to the dealer and they can’t find the problem. Did they fix your truck?

 

1660 mi on my truck. Fourth time through the car wash in a month and it cranks but will not start. No issues the first three times. Towed to the dealer this time.
