Default 2020 Silverado 4.3 possible coolant leak

So, i just purchased a new 2020 silverado 4.3 exactly a week ago today, well i noticed yesterday that the temperature while i was driving it, was pushing 240 degrees, which i thought seemed kind of odd. Well i noticed it again today, and it looks like there is something leaking from the front passenger side of the radiator. There was a small area that was wet there no sooner than i parked and got out i noticed it. It only has about 185 miles on it, and my driving style is very mild. I drive anout 3 miles to work each way, and the truck sets most of the other times. I just feel that 240 degrees is running a little bit hot, considering most vehicles ive ever owned run around 210 degrees all the time.

Now i tried to smell the wetspot that was under that side, it doesnt smell like antifreeze, but it doesnt really smell like water either. And there is some noticable liquid on the side of the radiator on that side. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or am i alone

Only other fluid near the radiator would be your automatic transmission lines going into the radiator. If it's a 2020 I'd take it to the dealership and let them repair it on warranty. As for the 240 F temps, it could be a bad thermostat. Those are usually made in Asia with less quality control. Might ask if they can swap it out for a new one.

Yup, its leaking fairly bad, this is the spots under the fromt right clip, and this is the spot actually underneath the truck in that clip, you can see the antifreeze on it. So will probably be getting a new radiator come monday, its still really hard to try and see where its leaking from.

I agree, take it to the dealership and let them fix it under warranty. It's nbot something for you to worry about at this point. They will even give you a loaner if they have to keep it over night.

Verdicts in, radiator is leaking. They jept the truck and ordered a new one, i guess in a day or two ill get it back. Took me forever to get to the dealer with it, due to it kept trying to overheat.
