Default 2020 Silverado custom rattling under bed

I have a new truck with 1000 miles on it. At 500 miles a terrible rattling coming from under the bed started. It happens when I turn and hit a bump. I took it to a dealer and they kept it for 3 days then came back and said it was normal. Know way it’s normal and it’s getting louder. They said the noise was coming from the rear axel but it’s normal. Any idea what it might be? What else should I do? I’m thinking about taking it to another dealer. It’s very frustrating and I bought a new truck to avoid issues.

I would check the heat shields around the exhaust system. Also wiggle every piece of metal under the truck to see if anything is loose. Jump up and down on the rear bumper to see if you hear the rattle. If you still cannot find it, take it to another dealer. Rear axel rattling, then they should fix it. It is not normal.

Got it figured out and fixed. Not sure why the first dealer couldn't help. It was the drivers side leaf spring. They had to put an insert to correct the problem but it was an easy fix. Thanks for the suggestions.

Default We have 2016 Chevy

Our Chevy has a bad rattle in the frame on passenger side door frame somewhere and we can’t figure it out. Seems like Chevy is building cheaper trucks these days. Plus we always have problems with the trucks trailer brake system.

Any ideas?

Default Silverado Rattling

it's the leaf springs... they all do it once they get dirt in them.

Default Rattling under bed

I have a 2019 Apex model and mine has a rattle under the bed too. I haven't had time to check it out yet. I have taken it in once and they can't find anything. A friend of mine has a black widow and his had a sound under the bed and it turned out to be the axle on his.

try another dealer. if they say the same thing, have them show you its normal by testing driving with you in another identical truck.
