2021 Silverado AC Issues
I have a 2021 Silverado RST with 5.3 L motor. AC stopped working blowing hot air over memorial weekend shut the truck down for two days pulled fuses and relays and the AC was blowing cold again. The AC worked for about one week, then stopped blowing cold air and blowing hot air again, I took it to the dealership and they mention the fan clutch seized up, causing damage to the compressor and replace the compressor cost $2400. No leaks on the system and didn’t test any sensors just leak test.
To me a failed fan clutch wouldn’t cause the intermittent issues and no noise was observed before ninjas the first issue, when it was working or when it went out again. I hate to think about paying 2400 to replace the compressor and another month later it’s going to need a evap temp sensor and another $2000.
The truck is 2.5 years old and for a mechanical break doesn’t sit well with reliability of these trucks.

Has it worked again at all? Mine is intermittingly working on and off, I was told these variable compressors are bad about the electronics going haywire and doing this, the bad news is you have to replace the compressor to fix the electronic issue, good news is if it is that issue you have no risk of it messing up the system and can just replace the compressor. If it starts working again and is cold then goes warm again i would get a shop to test the electronic side of it.
