Angry 27 days and counting.

Took possession of a 2020 Silverado RST on July 20th. Instrument cluster stopped working on Aug 14th. Truck has been in shop since. No part available to fix it and NO DATE as to when it will be available.
Contacted GM customer service for help. Will thank them for permission to rent a non GM truck for 5 days ( F150 ), though I am still waiting for them to pay me back. However have not heard anything more for 6 days.
Customer Service told Service Dept, where truck is presently residing, that they were trying for the part from Production and expected 24 to 48 hrs turn around. That was 9 days ago so not sure when time starts.
Service Dept is as frustrated as I am by lack of action and communication. They have loaned me a Chevy SPARK in the meantime. Nice enough car and fun to drive but impossible to carry 2x4s etc in it or tow a trailer.
Hopefully someone with some "pull" at GM will see this post and help out.
Any advice on what I should do would be much appreciated.
This is the 3rd Silverado I have owned. Previous 2014 went over 100,000kms without a problem. New one made it to 1600kms.

They should be giving you a loaner for free. Anytime my truck or car was in the shop over night, I always was given a free loaner. Of course my vehicles were rarely in the shop.

Do have a loaner, a Chevy Spark. Told they use them as loaners because they cant get people to buy them. OK as a small car but I bought a truck for a reason. Have boats that need pulling out so will need a truck by some ways or means soon.

They should give you a vehicle that is comparable to what you bought or in your case, something that can pull a trailer!.
