New to the forum. Not new to Chevys. I recently bought a 2019 Silverado Custom. I know it has the 5.3 and 6 speed transmission. When I bought it, I made the assumption that it had DFM. I bought off Carvana. However, since purchasing it, I've not been able to confirm it. My wife has a 2016 Tahoe and it flashes "V4" or "V8" on the dash. So I know it does. Her average fuel mileage is 20 mpg. Mine is 17. I have no indicator lights or anything else on my dash that make me think DFM is on. Are there any other ways to tell? I was under the impression all the 5.3 in this year range had it, but then I read some did not. Any help would be appreciated. Either way I love my truck. I am just curious.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum! Congrats on the Silverado Custom—great choice. Regarding your question, not all 2019 Silverado 5.3L engines came with DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management). Some models still had AFM (Active Fuel Management), while others had no cylinder deactivation at all. One way to check is by looking up your VIN online or calling carvana customer service here to see if they have detailed specs on your specific truck.
