Default Unkowingky Drove in 4X4 in tight spaces for 3000 miles

Hi all,

This is going to come across as stupid but I just found out I have been driving my brandnew 2021 Sliverado for around 3000 miles kn 4wd.

this also involved tight turns in a garage every other day including relatively high speed highway miles.

Whe turning sharply there was a sort of thudding sound and the traction on the front tires was sometimes lost. Since switching to 2w I don't notice any issues with the car.

Is it possible i have done some serious damage to the car? What should i do next?

Welcome from Florida. Does it make the thudding sound when you turn in both directions or only in one direction?

Thank you! Currently on 2 wheeldrive no thudding sound at all and seems to run totally fine.

The thudding sound usually happened when turning left out of my multistory car park which I did nearly everyday while 4wdh was on. I should have realised at that point but always thought it was something to do with the tires..

If it only does it when turning left, I would look at the cv joint on the left side.
