I came to this forum for the exact same reason as your post.I had noticed my passenger side power door lock quit working about a week or twoago. The passenger power window button had been hit andsince December 2005 when I first aquired my 1992 Astro. The driver side has always worked so no big deal. Last week my daughter rolled down the pasenger windowusing the passenger side buttton. I thought maybe the button started working again only to later figure out the window was stuck in the down position and would not even operate from the driver side. I have only looked for the obvious so far. I had a similar type condition in a 1989 Nissan Maxima a few years ago and finally learned that I had the replace the master control switch(driver side switch assembly). Not sure if the Astro driver switch is as complicated as the Maxima. The Maxima master switch was electronic. The Astro appears to be amechanical sytle switch. Maybe we can get someone to post a fix to this dilemma. It certainly can't be a unique problem.

P.S. The company I work for has used Astros for years in its fleet. I check with our mechanics to see if they have seen this problem before.

Thanks to shawnvw for guiding mrmark and myself to the correct fix. I completely removedthe section of passenger side wiring boot while leaving thetwo reinforced boot ends in place. I found 3 wires broken in two and another cracking. The rest of the wiring felt ok and showed no signs of damage. I spliced the 4 wires back together using a short insulatedcrimp sleeve and my window and door lock problems are gone. THANKS AGAIN SHAWNVW.
