Question 99 Chevroet Astro 4.3L "Wont Start" ??

My Astro wont start, when I start it I dont hear
Starter turn.. I checked for Voltage there is 12V at
the Solenoid when I move the Switch, but the
Starter Doesnt turn over no noises at all..hmm

I checked the Starter Relay its fine nothing wrong with the Relay..

Checked for Codes, there is no Codes at all.

I Checked the Distributor Cap theres some Corrosion
on the Terminals

I dont know maybe the Ignition Coil is the Problem

Ok so I took the starter and Battery at Autozone for testing
so I could verify if the Starter or Battery was the problem..
and it was neither of both they passed..

So Desided to look and test the Battery cables,
the negative cable was fine and its ground..

The positive Cable had way too much resistance alot
of Corrosion, I used some jumper leads from Battery to
Starter Started the Van like butter was so relieved

Sounds like you got it figured out. Hopefully you can just clean up the terminals, replacing that harness while not hard is time consuming.

Yes I did figure the starting issue.. I removed the red boot from
the + terminal and it had alot of corrosion, so I cleaned it off really good
then started up my van with no problem.

At first I was thinking of removing the Harness but I
decided to just clean off the Positive terminal.

I am new to this forum and was wondering how do i start my own thread? I have a 99 Astro and it doesn't start sometimes when the old lady takes it to the store or to run errands. It rolls over and seems like it will start but it doesn't. After a little while it will eventually start again but i would like to find out the cause of the problem before it gets worse.....
