I have spent time in the junkyard looking into this as I really like the half panel look. The passenger vans appear to have used a separate or additional stamp as the sheet metal is more inset by the windows. On the 18th I'm heading out to a yard that is know to have cheaper prices and plan on cutting out the sides of a cargo to see what I can do. I'm thinking that if I have excess material I can fold it a metal strip to make up the extra thickness then either use the stock weather stripping or buy a welder and tack the panel in place.

My other thought was to make a mold from the stock windows and then making fiberglass panels that could use the stock weather stripping, be glued in place, or be hinged to open towards back like some other vans do.
