Oil pan and cylinder head

Thanks for reply.
Actually, I need to pull driver side head off, and perhaps replace #5 piston, if my diagnosis is correct. Also I’m very limited on space, trying to do it in my single car garage, so pulling the engine is an option, but I hope that I can do it with the engine in place.
Do I need to lift the engine to drop the oil pan?<O
