I have an 05 Ava with DTC P0449, need some help on possible solutions and probable causes. Also, does anyone know if this is a recurring problem or a possible recall issue?

i last heard it is 88 bucks through gm

 

I had the same code last month. I bought a new gas cap and cleared the code. No issues since.

The gas tank is pressurized and when the o-ring on the gas cap wears it leaks a little causing the code. Easy $12 fix.
