Question 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 5.3 (P0300) Issues ...need help

Hi Everyone ,
New here on the forum. I have a 2007 Chevy Avalanche 5.3 that I purchased 4 yrs ago from a head tech at a local GM dealership here in the Wooddbridge, Ontario. They had the engine replaced at 57,000 under warranty and put a new crate motor in. The truck now has 180,000km on it and I'm having some issues.
I'm a little pissed and fighting with GM Canada for some help. I use to own a shop so in know my truck was babied and all oil changes were done at 5000km intervals with synthetic oil only.

VEHICLE RUNNING ROUGH, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY AND WHEN ON VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO 2ND GEAR ROUGH. WHEN NOT ON ITS OK. ENGINE LIGHT ON.

SCANNED VEHICLE AND GOT ...

1) P0300 Engine misfire detected.

* #2 cylinder misfiring

2) P0621 Generator L-Terminal Circuit

3) C0561 System Disabled Information Stored Invalid Serial Data Received

4) C0660 Level Control Exhaust Valve Circuit Short to Ground or Open

P0300

Checked compression #2 -150psi (running) ** When vehicle off compression is 90psi other cylinders at 120psi

Replaced spark plugs

Replaced Wires

#2 Cylinder injector resistance low compared to other cylinders. Swapped injectors to see if issue disappears and nothing changed. Wondering if this is a electrical issue? If anyone has further information is appreciated.

Default engine problem

i had the same problem. what i did to get rid of it was clean out your throatle body from carbin and i changed the valve cover with the pcv valve built in because it was pluge and was putting oil in the intake. if this is the not thefix it might be a wire at the throatle body

Yup Bad Lifter . Took it out and roller was chewed up. Replacing all the lifters and camshaft. Also Found TSB on OIL PRESSURE MESSAGE. I remember that my oil pressure once went on and gave me low oil pressure. Might of been a plugged up oil valve filter that may of started this problem. Replacing the filter and pressure switch also. I'll post up some of the bad lifter pics later.

TSB - TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
LOW OIL PRESSURE MESSAGE/LIGHT - INSPECT VALVE LIFTER OIL FILTER

Reference Number(s): PIP4786A, Date of Issue: April 10, 2015

SUPERCEDES: This PI was superseded to update Model Years and Warranty Information. Please discard PIP4786.
SERVICE INFORMATION

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
CONDITION/CONCERN

Some customers may complain of a low oil pressure message/light on the dash and a technician may find a P0521 DTC in the ECM.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS

If this concern is encountered, follow SI diagnosis

If it indicates that the Tech 2 or GDS2 oil pressure parameter is low but proper oil pressure is present at the oil filter housing, inspect the Valve Lifter Oil Filter for debris/sludge that could be restricting oil flow to the oil pressure sensor before replacing any parts.

Follow the Valve Lifter Oil Filter Removal and Installation Procedure to remove the filter for inspection.

If the filter is plugged, it can normally be cleaned with brake/contact cleaner and light shop air.

If it cannot be cleaned for some reason, replace it using the part number listed in the parts catalog.

Do not replace the complete Valve Lifter Oil Manifold just because the filter is plugged.

Supercedes: This bulletin is being revised to update the Correction information by removing the non-AFM valve lifter replacement and removing the non-AFM valve lifter Parts Information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 10-06-01-007C (Section 06 - Engine/Propulsion System).
Superceded Bulletin(s): 10-06-01-007C, Date of Issue: November 17, 2010
CONDITION

Some customers may comment on an engine valve lifter tick noise that occurs after the engine has been shut off for at least two hours. The tick noise may last from two seconds to ten minutes.
CAUSE

This condition may be caused by any of the following:

Aerated oil in the valve lifter body, resulting in the valve lifter being unable to purge the air quickly.
A low engine oil level or incorrect oil viscosity.
Dirty or contaminated oil.
A low internal valve lifter oil reservoir level.
Debris in the valve lifter.
A high valve lifter leak down rate.

CORRECTION

If the SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause of this valve lifter tick noise and normal oil pressure is noted during the concern, perform the following steps:

Inspect the engine oil condition and level. Refer to Owner Manual > Service and Appearance Care > Checking Things Under the Hood > Description and Operation > Engine Oil in SI.
If the engine oil is more than one quart low, an incorrect oil viscosity is being used or if poor quality/contamination is observed, change the oil and filter.
NOTE:

Allow at least a two hour soak time between engine OFF and start up when evaluating the valve lifter tick noise.
Start the engine and evaluate the valve lifter tick noise.
If the valve lifter tick noise is still present, replace all 8 active fuel management (AFM) valve lifters ONLY.

Refer to Valve Lifter Replacement (With AFM) in SI.
