2008 Avalanche exterior door handles

2008 Avalanche exterior door handles
I purchsed my Avalanche new in 2008.
Shortly thereafter, both of my front door handles on the exterior of the vehicle broke. I took it in and it was covered by waranty.
The service manager told me this was an on-going issue. I asked if there was a recall issued, and he answered no.
I told him to go ahead and replace the 2 back door handles now to prevent me from coming out lattter when they broke, and he refused. He said they are only authorized to fix those broken at the time.
Fast forward to today, 2013. Out of warranty, back door handles break.
Now it's up to me to replace them????
WHY HASN'T A RECALL BEEN ISSUED ON THESE YEARS AGO???

Avalanche door handles
I have three door handles that are broken. Still work have to be careful. Also cruise does not work anymore and one day time running light is out. The daytime running light replacement is a joke. The book does not even list the replacement bulb (3157 or 4114 I guess). Never again will I purchase a GM product.
