Default Axle Bearing

I am pretty sure my rear driver side axle bearing is going out, it making a howling sound when accelerating etc. Anyway i have watched videos and they have been for the rear passenger side. So my question is would it be the same process but for the driver side? I also don't have a vehicle lift. Is it possible to do the job with a jack and jack stands since you have to turn the drive shaft.

Yeah it’s the same for both sides, i don’t have a lift either, and I rebuilt the whole rear end and replaced wheel bearings in one service. I recommend checking pinion bearings if it’s howling only on acceleration
