Bluetooth for an LS
I am new to the forum so I appologize if I'm posting this in the wrong spot.
I recently purchased a 2010 Avalanche LS that has onstar with stearing wheel controls, but not bluetooth. I see that it is an option on the LS model, but it's not currently installed on mine.
Is there a part that I can buy to install that will light up the bluetooth functionality, or is that not an option? Or is that part of the stereo so I'd need to replace the whole stereo?
Thanks in advance.
Cody

Thanks EinST...
Kinda ticked off at the dealership right now actually. The sales guy told me it had the bluetooth installed already, and I believed him without checking it first. Not a deal breaker I guess, just kinda sucks as it'd be a really handy feature to have when I'm pulling my camper this summer.
I did a little checking with a local Audio Installation company. They said they could put in a parrot and some other adapter for $300 that would tie it in to my steering wheel controls. That might be my best option. Not OEM, but functional.
I also thought about just diving in head first and getting the OEM Nav system put in instead. I'm assuming (haven't looked yet) that that would have bluetooth as well. Then I would have the option of rear cam and such too.
Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll keep doing some more research.

Oh, jeez, sadly you're not the first and won't be the last to be lied to by the dealership sales. I've seen (actually ran from) whole shady organizations.
I concur that it's probably not worth the trouble/expense to try to retrofit that small functionality.
