Exclamation OEM Navigation

This is the first time I post. I am hoping one one can shed some light on this question. I have a 2007 Avalanche LTZ. I have the back up camera and pretty much all the bells and wistles. BUT, I did not get the rear seat entertainment system. Can my Navigation head unit be programed to play DVD's or do I have to buy one that does? HELP???
