Trans swap
4L60e to 4L70e swap
the Avy is a 2003 and the donor Trans is from a 2006
What do I need to do to put the 4L70E in place of 4L60e?
With the years is there an issue that I will need to tackle with the sensor?

In my view, the main problem with this swap could be the TCM. The TCM software in your 2003 Avalanche might not work perfectly with the 2006 4L70E transmission. You might have to get the TCM reprogrammed or updated to make sure the new transmission works well.

Ok. I can see how much the dealership can charge for that. My AVY also is the TOP of the line with every gadget that was offered on it. Would that possibly be in my favor?

In my opinion, more features mean more integration points for the new transmission. The TCM and other systems (like your vehicle’s ECU) need to be perfectly synced with these features, which might require more detailed and expensive adjustments. While these factors could make the swap more technically feasible, they also likely mean a higher cost due to the complexity.
Will it favor you or not, it's up to you.

Thank you. So far I may only have to have the PCM ECM reprogrammed. I have to check that part out, but for me and what I plan to do the beefier Trans would be beneficial.
