Question 1993 Chevy Lumina

I've been around this car my whole life. Mom bought it when I was around 8 or 9 and it was passed to me about 5 years ago. Well, I've had to take it back and forth to the mechanics since about 2 years ago and Thursday it gave up the ghost. My mechanic says that the engine gave out on me. Now, it could be something as simple as the starter that's the issue, but with the trouble it's given me I'm about ready to sell. How much would you advise I ask for it? I'm a complete moron when it comes to vehicles and money.

Well, you don't mention mileage or condition... 2 important factors when considering.

You think it's a starter, mechanic says motor. You also don't mention which motor - probably not the 3.1L v6 or definitely not the 3.4L v6.. is it the 4 cylinder?

4 door or 2 door? rust bucket?
