Default 91 lumina question

i have a 91 lumina with a 3.1 i have been having problems getting the heat to go from defrost to blend or vent etc i have locted the problem along with cruise control not working i found a cracked hard plastic vaccum line i know this is the culprit the the question i have is it came off the other end of the rubber adapter that runs under the plenum the question i have is is there an easy way to get to it or do i need to take off the plenum to get to it. any help and or advice is greatly appreciated old chevy i could use your wisdom on it ty steven

Yeah, you'll need to take it off.

I remember doing something like this.. you can probably reuse the gaskets if you don't disturb them much.

If that becomes a problem, you can always replace the gasket.

Well, my car was only 8 years old then. Your's is 23 years old now.

on my heater problem found a plastic vaccum line was broken on my 91 lumina auto with a 3.1 6 cyl i was able to rerout it with new line and now the heat works great on all settings now which is awesome ty for the help

Sounds like it was a vacuum line for the heater door.

Congrats on finding and fixing it!!!
