Help Diagnosing the Problem
Hey guys, so I need help here! I have a '95 S10 Chevy Blazer that has been giving me some issues.
My dad has helped me by mostly rebuilding the thing, I want to learn more about mechanics (he is the worst teacher, the worst!) and we have been really struggling to figure out the current issue I am having. Again, I know literally nothing, so I'm gonna need ya'll to mansplain for me because I want to research and learn, but I need somewhere to start.
Here's the problem: EVERY morning when I fire it up, it runs like trash. The whole truck vibrates, it wreaks of fuel, and it has no power. Coming to a full stop leaves me scared of breaking down there. My drive to work is 10 minutes.
Then at lunch when I go to start it, it doesn't want to fire up. If I give it some gas, voom! Fires right up and runs beautiful. The drive back to work after lunch and the drive home after work it drives smooth too. My fuel mileage is bad, about 300k max on a tank of gas and has been getting worse.
Do any of these symptoms point to a direct issue you can think of? Where would you start to try and diagnose it? A code reader doesn't bring up any codes.
Thanks!
