Question 83 camaro 750$

so heres the thing im new and im seaking info on buying a 1983 camaro
2.8l auto transmision
88000km

I want to know what i should be looking for and what to ask to the seller,he said he is selling the car for parts.the car <DOUSENT start>, i was told that he ran out of fuel and it didnt start after that? overheated fuel pump? fuel filter?

I need a little help

750$ as stated above, vapor locked?

Edit: i found out what it is but if it is that,is it reletavly cheap to fix?
and how do i fix it?

The fuel pump might have overheated and then died. There also might be some trapped air in the fuel system. It simply doesn't make sense that it wouldn't start after running out of gas.......somethings "amis" here......don't think they're telling you the complete story! Be careful!!

I think he may be telling the whole story when he was told that he was selling it for parts, I had the 2.8 in my 87 S10 Blazer and they don't make much power.
If you are thinking of buying it for a project car start with changing out that motor, if you plan on buying it for a daily driver, what can you expect for $750?

i wanted it for a project but i went to see the car and the body was just a diaster. id have to change or rework all of it. well thanks anyways
