Default Building a 350

I have a chevy 350 4 bolt out of a 79 Camaro. I want to build it for 400-450 horse and run it on 93. Looking to get very quick throttle response and get up and go. Also want to put a real choppy rough idle cam in it.

Any ideas?

p.s there is going to be a build TH 350 behind if with a full manual valve body set up.

fuel injection. gm's tpi unit is really a great unit (came stock on camaros, firebirds). holley makes good units. it'll provide the throttle response, plus a bit more economical than carb. a nice cam, full roller motor, headers. reprogram the ecm for broader fuel delivery, better timing. and, for great bang for the buck, gm's vortec heads are great performers right out of the box. last time i checked, a fully assembled set could be had for bout $500 from gm. going injected, you will have wiring and stuff, but pretty easy to figure out. holley, edelbrock and such all have complete bolt on kits with wiring harnesses, computers. if you go gm tpi route, find a donor car, preferably with everything still in it, take lots of notes and pics, then transfer everything over. at very least, get computer and wire harness with unit. tho, it seems that gm offers just the wire harness in kit for their tpi units. good luck
