Default Exhaust soot

My 2021 Camaro RS 335 hp has 2 streams of black spot on the muffler that are coming from where the tailpipes enter the muffler. The dealer said this was normal but I am having a hard time believing that. Am I wrong? Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Now with the temperature below zero, there is a large clump of icicles hanging under the bumper.

The only time you see exhaust carbon at connections is when there is a leak. Sometimes they seal themselves, but best to correct and do the job right.

I hate it when a dealership says "it's normal". They are just trying to get out of repairing it as they should. A call to Chevrolet customer service should rectify this issue.

I know some water out of the exhaust while it's cold is normal, but in this case, it happens at every start, even with a hot engine, and the soot is considerable.

start the engine and plug the tips with a shop rag....hold them in with your hand enough to create an exhaust restriction....this will create backpressure. if you feel air escaping from the joint in question....its a leak that needs attention.
